Quality Medicare to Devotees During Annual Fete - SMO

Tirumala, 14 September 2018: The TTD Medical Wing is fully geared to provide quality medical assistance to devotees who throng the annual Brahmotavams said,

Dr Narmada, Medical Superintendent Aswini Hospital, Tirumala.

Addressing the media persons at the Media centre set up by the TTD PR department in the Rambagicha Rest House-2, Dr Narmada said all infrastructure available at the SVIMS, BIRRDS, RUIA and Aswini hospital have been roped in for providing extended medical facilities to the devotees and special arrangements have been made for Garuda Seva.

Senior doctors  with battery driven  cars,  carrying emergency medicine  for trauma and injuries will be stationed on the Mada streets, Vaikuntham Queue Complex-1 and 2, Gali gopuram, ATC and Kalyanakatta regions and in all the  dispensaries are also functional  besides the Aswini hospital.

11 first aid centres were  set up with locations at PAC-2, Ram Bhageecha -2, 7th mile on foot path ofAlipiri, Papa Vinasam, Vengamamba Anna prasada Bhavan, Bashyakarla Sannidi, Srivari Temple inside, Narayanagiri Gardens, 1500 step on Alipiri foot path and Srivari Mettu foot path. In all 4 doctors, 80 members para medial staff totalling 125 persons were deployed for serving the devotees on Garuda seva day.

Besides general medicine, orthopaedics, surgery, emergency medicine will also be taken care of, she said.

Dr Narmada said in all 13 ambulances including 7 of them are 108 Ambulance services. 4 will be stationed at four mada streets, one each at Narayanagiri Gardens, Srivari Mettu and Alipiri. The Apollo Emergency cardiac centre  at the Ashwini hospital is fully geared for truma and stroke cases and other emergency services  at the Ashwini Hospital in Tirumala.
