Over Seven Lakhs had Darshan in Seven Days - TTD Dy Eo





Tirumala, 17 October 2018: So far 7.15 lakh pilgrims had enjoyed the celestial darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy during the last seven days of the ongoing Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavms in Tirumala, said Tirumala Temple DyEO Sri Harindranath.

Addressing reporters at the Media center in Ram Bagicha 2 Rest house on Wednesday, the DyEO said, to give priority for common devotee oriented sarva darshan, TTD had slashed the VIP break darshan, Rs.300 special entry darshan and cancelled all arjitha sevas. 

Advance preparedness had facilitated provision of darshan of Lord inside and also the darshan of Vahana sevas in a smooth manner, he said. Adding to that he said, excepting for the period of rituals, rest of time was devoted for common devotee darshan.

The Temple DyEO said that as on date nearly 7.15 lakh devotees had darshan during the last seven days of Brahmotsavams. During the Salakatla Brahmotsavams last month about 85,000 had darshan on Garuda seva day (September 17) while on Garuda seva during Navarathri Brahmotsavams on October 14, over one lakh people had darshanam of presiding Lord. In the last seven days we have sold 24.36lakh laddus to pilgrims.

HUNDI COLLECTIONS TOUCH Rs 16.14 CRORE

The Parakamani DyEO Sri V Damodaram said that during the ongoing Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams, the Srivari Hundi collections have touched Rs.16.14 Crore in seven days as against Rs.16.28 Crore collections during the Salakatla Brahmotsavams last month.

The Hundi collections were counted and segregated with the assistance of countless Parakamani volunteers and deposited in the banks, he added.

Among others the TTD PRO Dr T Ravi and Srivari Temple Peishkar Sri Ramesh Babu and Potu Peishkar Sri Nagaraju also participated.
