Tirumala, 13 October 2018: The hill shrine of Tirumala geared up to host the mega religious event, Garuda Seva which will be observed on the evening on Sunday on the fifth day of the ongoing Navarathri Brahmotsavams.
Under the instructions of EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal, in the direct supervision of Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, the Engineering wing has made separate entry exit points for the galleries, barricades were erected at necessary points to avoid any untoward incident.
On the other hand, vigilance and security wing of TTD has made necessary arrangements in cooperation with police. While the Annaprasadam and Healt wings have drawn a schedule of distribution of food, buttermilk and water distribution with the help of 1500 Srivari Seva volunteers.
A buffer stock of laddus have also kept ready by TTD to match with the pilgrim rush.
Heavy pilgrim turn out is being anticipated and all compartments were full to their capacities and the line extended to outside by Saturday evening itself.
