Akurarpanam Performed at Srivari Temple for Pushpa Yagam

Tirumala, 13 November 2018: The unique ritual of Ankurarpanam was performed this evening for the scheduled Pushpa yagam to commence on Wednesday at the

Srivari Temple.

As part of the same Rutwik-varanam was performed at 6am the morning in front of the Mula Virat in the Srivari Temple in which along Kakanabhattar five other priests were commissioned for special rituals. Each of the priests will shoulder separate department of Vedic rituals which is said to be performed on the direct consent of Lord Venkateswara.

In the evening Sri Viswaksena, the commander of Lord Venkateswara was taken in a procession to Vasanta Mandapam where after Matsa grahanam, and asthanam will be brought back to Srivari Temple.

Ankurarpanam will commence at Yagashala from night 9pm to 10pm. In view of Ankurarpanam the Vasantotsavam and Sahasra deepalankara seva scheduled on Tuesday evening have been cancelled.
