Managudi is a Mass Temple Programme



Tirumala, 9 November 2018: Managudi is a mass temple programme aimed at bringing back past glory to many dilapidated temples located across the Telugu states with the involvement of local public, said TTD Trust Board Chief P Sudhakar Yadav.

The board Chairman took part in the Managudi sare procession in Tirumala on Friday from Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple to Srivari temple. 

Speaking to media persons he said, this fete will be observed across 13000 temples in twin Telugu states from November 20 to 23 in the holy month of Karthika. TTD has been observing this from the past six years and the present one is the 14th phase. Today all the sacred items will get the blessings of Lord before being dispatched to all centres", he added.

Later Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar said, 70 lakhs kankanams will be distributed to all the 13000 temples in both he Telugu states. On November 20 Mangala Kaisika Daadaapu Asthanam will be observed followed by Alaya Shobha on 21 and Karthika Pournami Managudi on November 22 and 23", he maintained.

Later the sacred items consisting vermilion, turmeric, sugar candy, kankanams and akshara were carried and placed at the holy feet of lord inside sanctum
