Sabarimala sees rise in devotees: Devaswom Executive Officer



With the Mandala season progressing, sabarimala has been steep rise in the number of devotees, said Sabarimala Executive Officer D Sudheesh Kumar. He added that the Devaswom Board has made necessary arrangements for a hassle free Mandala pilgrimage. The number of footfalls have increased on Thursday compared to the beginning days of the pilgrimage season. 

The prasada counter is working round the clock. Accomodation and viri facilities have also enhanced. Annadanam (free food) serving is also done smoothly.

He also been added that income to the temple would increase in accordance with the rise in devotees in the coming days.

Health Departments open 15 emergency medical help centres

The increase in the number of devotees have made the Health Department to open 15 emergency help centres on the way from Pamba to Sannidhanam. The centres have come as a great help to the devotees.

Neelimala, Appachimedu, Sabaripeedom, Marakkoottam, Queue complex, Saramkuthy, Vavarunada, Pandithavalam, Charelmedu top, Forest Model EMC, Charalamedu bottom were the places that the emergency medical help centres opened.

In all these centres, expert nurses, paramedics, Ayyappa Seva Sanghom volunteers were deployed for any help for the devotees.

Devotees can avail the service of these centres in the time of emergency. In all these centres, heart resuscitation machines have made available. Devotees with heart and respiratory difficulties should seek the help of medical experts deployed at these centres.
