Laksha Kumkumarchana Observed

Tiruchanoor, 3 December 2018: As a part of the Annual Brahmotsavams at Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanoor, Laksha Kukumarchana was performed in a grand manner on Monday.

Kumkuma or the vermilion has a most significant place in Hindu religion and Kumkuma implies Stree Shakti as it symbolically represented as the combination of Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parvathi.

Conduction of Laksha Kukumarchans as a prelude to Brahmotsavam is an age old practice at the Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple.

Archakas performed the prestigious and sacred ritual at Sri Krishna Mukha mandapam inside the temple between 8am and 12 noon and hundreds of women devotees took part in the fete.

They recited Lakshmi Astottaram, Lakshmi Sahasranamam on this celestial occasion.

Temple DyEO Smt Jhansi Rani, AEO Sri Subramanyam, other archakas, officials and devotees participated in the event
