Tiruchanoor, 4 December 2018: The distribution of the sacred materials including vermilion, turmeric, bangles along with Kankanams to women devotees commenced on a grand religious note in Tiruchanoor temple by TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal on Tuesday evening in Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru temple premises.
Soubhagyam is often described as the good fortune of married women and is observed seeking longevity of their husband's life.
Started by TTD in 2012, Soubhagyam is observed under the aegis of Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad wing during every annual brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor.
Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, HDPP Secretary Sri Ramana Prasad, DyEOs Smt Goutami, Smt Jhansi Rani and other officials, huge number of women devotees were also present.
