Tirupati, 28 February 2019: As per tradition the Andal garlands for decoration in the most significant Garuda seva tonight were brought in a grand procession from the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple to Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram.
Devotees from all over temple participated in the grand procession named as Goda Kalana yatra which crossed SV Go samrakshana shala, Tatithopu, Perumallapalli.
The procession of the garlands on a caparisoned elephant exuded devotional potion with chakka bhajans, Kolatas and drum beating in praise of Lord Venkateswara. The garlands were adorned on the mula virat of the Sri Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple after traditional rituals. The same garlands will decor the utsava idols of Garuda seva this evening .
Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyangar Swamy, Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyangar Swamy, Local Temples DyEO Smt Varalakshmi, Sri Venkataiah and AEO Sri Srinivasulu and others participated in the event.
GOLDEN CHARIOT ON MARCH 1
On Day 6 of the ongoing Brahmotsavam of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple on Sunday, Golden Chariot, Swarna Rathotsavam will be grandly conducted in the evening along the four mada streets. Later on Lord will ride on Gaja Vahanam and bless the devotees.
