Polio Immunization Awareness Rally Held

Tirumala, 9 March 2019: In connection with the National Programme of pulse Polio immunization which will be observed on Sunday, an awareness rally was taken out In Tirumala on Saturday.

This is the 25 th pulse polio drops adminatration programme in the 24th year by Government of India. Aswini Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Narmada along with Dr Kusuma Kumari commenced the rally from SV High School.

The children also took active part in rally covering all streets and residential colonies in Tirumala sensitizing pilgrims and locals.

The pulse polio drops will be administered to the infants and children below 5years of age on Sunday which commences by 7am. TTD has set up 25 polio drops centres out of which 18 are for pilgrims with 2 centres in footpath route and 7 for locals.
