Temple City Reverberates to the Chant of Hara Hara Mahadeva Shambho Shankara








Tirupati, 4 Mar. 19: The temple city of Tirupati on Monday echoed to the holy chants of Hara Hara Mahadeva Sambho Sankara on the auspicious occasion of Maha Siva Rathri.

All roads lead to the famous shrine of Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati. The day was hectic with abhishekams, special pujas, rituals taking place in the temple since wee hours.

TTD has made elaborate arrangements of security in view of a heavy influx of devotees. 

NANDIVAHANAM GLIDES ON THE STREETS

In the evening the processional deity took a celestial ride on Nandi Vahanam which commenced at 6pm and lasted for over four hours. 

The devotees made a beeline all through the procession way in the streets. Haratis were rendered by devotees at each point to Vahanam.

In the wee hours of Tuesday, Lingodbhavam will be observed at 5am with Lingodbhavakala abhishekams.

SIVAPARVATI KALYANAM ON MARCH 5

Meanwhile the celestial wedding ceremony Sri Siva Parvathi Kalyanam will be observed on March 5 between 5pm and 7pm.

Temple DyEO Sri Subramanyam, VGO Sri Ashok Kumar Goud, AEO Sri Nagaraj, Suptd Sri Rajkumar, Archakas and devotees took part.
