Teppotsavam and Surya Pujotsavam of Nagalapuram Temple

Tirupati, 22 Mar. 19: TTD JEO Sri B Lakshmikantham on Friday evening released the wall posters and booklets of Surya Pujotsavam and Teppotsavam of Sri Veda Narayana Swamy Temple of Nagalapuram in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple in Tirupati.

Speaking on this occasion Tirupati JEO Said TTD plans to grandly celebrate the Teppotsavam and Surya Pujotsavam festivals at its local temple Sri Vedanarayana Swamy Temple of Nagulapuram from March 24 to 28.

Legends say that on the three days of Surya Pujyotsava sun rays will touch feet, body and head of the idol of Vedanarayana from the 630 feet distant Rajagopuram. During the festival snapana Thirumanjanam is performed to the deity and consorts and Veedhi utsavam at nights.

A five day annual Teppotsavam us also performed from March 24 th and the artists of Annamacharya project will present Bhakti sangeet and religious discourse every day and enthrall the devotees.

Temple DyEO Sri Sridhar, SE Sri Ramesh Reddy, VGO Sri Ashok Kumar Goud, AEO Sri Tirumalaiah, Temple Suptd Sri Ramesh and others were present.
