TTD Rest House Gets ISO Certification

Tirupati, 14 Mar. 19: In recognition to its qualitative services, the TTD Rest House, Vishnu Nivasam located in the heart of the temple city of Tirupati, won the certificate of International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

This certificate was presented to TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal by ISO Director Sri Karthikeyan in the former's chamber in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Thursday. The ISO Director appreciated the efforts put up by TTD in providing qualitative services maintaining all standard parameters in spite of the visit by multitude of pilgrims from across the country.

Later Tirupati JEO Sri B Lakshmikantham, during a brief session with a few senior officers of TTD in Conference Hall in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati said, ISO was formed on February 23 in 1947 and operates in over 160 countries. It has 20000 standards and 10 non-negotiable indicators. This ISO certificate to Vishnu Nivasam Rest House is first of its kind in TTD. This should be an inspiration to all the other departments and especially the hospitals and educational institutions to provide quality services to patients and pupils respectively, he maintained.

Adding further, the JEO said, the ISO team paved three visits to Vishnu Nivasam in the last 20 days. During their first visit they have offered their inputs, directions and the non-negotiable parameters, while in their second visit they did mid-term evaluation and finally they made a surprise visit to check whether we are following all the standard parameters or not.

“I whole-heartedly congratulate all the departments who made this happen in Vishnu Nivasam and setting an example to others in improving their standards. Next three hospitals including BIRRD, Central Hospital and Ayurvedic Hospital and three educational institutions with two Junior Colleges and Balamandir should gear up for this prestigious recognition”, the JEO directed the concerned officials.
