Women Employees in TTD Excel with Their Mettle - TTD EO



















Tirupati, 8 Mar. 19: The women employees with their working skills and patience thriving well in key posts in TTD, complimented TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.

The EO graced the International Women's Day observed by TTD along with Tirupati JEO Sri B Lakshmikantham, held at Mahati Auditorium on Friday in a big way.

Speaking on this occasion he said, this year is being observed as no gender discrimination and equal opportunities to men and women. "In TTD the women work force excel well in different posts. Thr temples of Tiruchanoor, Sri Govindaraja Swamy are being headed by women Deputy EOs only. But you still need to grab the opportunities which come in your way. For that you need to invoke the capacities present within you", he expressed.

He said his mother studied only primary classes but she taught all of us the ethical values which helped us a lot in our personal and professional life which we are enjoying today. That is the power of a mother'', he maintained.

The EO said, the grievances of women employees are regularly being redressed now in the redressal cell, competitions were held for women, the new sports complex which we are contemplating will boost your energies", he added. He complimented the way the programme is conducted under the aegis of Welfare Department of TTD.

Earlier Tirupati JEO Sri B Lakshmikantham in his address said, the Astadasa Shaktipeethams signify the importance and prominence given to women in India since Vedic age. Where women are worshipped and respected, that area will proper. "If a woman is educated she can do wonders. We are now aiming at skill development training program in TTD institutions'', he said.

Among the speakers Dr DM Premavathi, retired head of department for Telugu in SPW Degree and PG college said, the women have to build up the right path for their life. The foundation should be strong so that you can face any challenge which you come across your life. In my 77 years, three fourth of my journey went away and still going strong with SPW college. The college is undoubtedly a boon to lakhs of girls since it's inception in 1952. Thanks to the efforts of then Executive Officer of TTD Dr C Anna Rao who envisaged the future of women in this great institution. I thank EO Singhal and his deputies for taking forward the legacy with time to improvements to better girl education", she added.

Smt P Sumathi,ASI SHE team lead by Tirupati Urban police informed the women and girls that there are 3 SHE teams in Tirupati and one each in Renigunta and Sri Kala Hasti. 

"PADMA" AWARDS PRESENTED

Later for the first time, Padmavathi awards were presented to four women employees in TTD on women's day to those who excelled in their departments while dia charging their duties.

CULTURAL PROGRAMS STEAL THE SHOW

The day filled patriotic dance, kolatam by girls, fancy dress and Deepa Pradarshana by women employees of TTD has stolen the show.

Later the women employees who are going to retire this year in various cadres were felicitated. This was followed by prize distribution to winners in Singing, Essay Writing, Sports and Games conducted women employees on this occasion.

Tirupati MLA Smt Suguna, Veena Expert from Madurai Dr. S Mallika, National Athlete Kum. Duteechand, DyEOs Smt Varalakshmi, Smt Jhansi Rani, Smt Kasturi, Smt Nagarathna and others were also present.
