Venugopala Swamy Rides on Garuda Vahanam Wearing Lakshmi Haram










Karvetnagaram 30 May 2019 ; The famous ancient temple dedicated to Sri Venugopala Swamy located at Karvetinagaram which is around 45km from Tirupati in Chittoor district witnessed the grandeur of Garuda Sahanam on Thursday.

On the fifth day evening as a part of the ongoing annual brahmotsavams in Karvetinagaram the Garuda Seva was observed with religious pomp and geity.

For the first time, the temple received valuable presentation from the coffers of Tirumala temple. A Lakshmi Pathaka haram weighing around 82grams costing Rs.2.41lakhs and another Gaja Lakshmi Pathakam weighing around 143grams priced at Rs.4.05lakhs. 

These jewels were handed over to temple Dyeo Sri EC Sreedhar by Tirumala temple peishkar Sri Lokanatham. A grand shobha yatra took place from Anjaneya say temple located opposite to main temple amidst Nada Swaram and Bhajana troupes.

These jewels were decked to the processional deity of Sri Venugopala Swamy during Garuda Vahanam and taken on a ceremonious procession along mada streets encircling the shrine which was witnessed by scores of devotees.

Among others AVSO Sri Chiranjeevulu, AEO Sri Tirumalaiah, Temple Inspector Sri Satyanarayana Raju were also present.
