About 25 Lakh Odd Pilgrims Had Darshan in May - TTD JEO













Tirumala,June 1,2019 :TTD had successfully provided hassle free darshan to a monumental number of 25 lakh odd devotees in the mid summer month of May this year which is almost 1.20lakhs more than last year, said Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.

The TTD staff under the guidance of EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal and JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju in co-ordination with all departments,Srivari Sevakulu, Scouts and Guides had achieved the unprecedented record of darshan facilitation to devotees who thronged Tirumala temple from various parts of the country as well from abroad.

Accordingly queue lines were stream lined inside Srivari temple to speed up darshan for all and additional staff have been roped in at Kalyanakattas also. The Snacks and Anna Prasadam were supplied non stop in the queue lines of sarva  darshan and Divya darshan at Narayanagirl gardens and Vaikuntam Queue complex1 & 2 with Srivari Seva volunteers. 

Additional sanitary workers deployed to keep Tirumala clean and pollution free.The engineering, Vigilance and police kept eagle watch to ensure safety of devotees and to avoid traffic jams on the hill shrine. Nearly 3500 Srivari Sevakulu, 500 Scouts and Guides served the swarming summer crowd at Tirumala, he added. The JEO opined that the rush will continue till June 11 following Second Saturday and Sunday on June 9 and 10 which is the last day of summer holidays for students. 

JEO lauded the services of 50 members of Pilgrim Welfare Facilitation Services (PWFS) volunteers in the queue complexes to supervise services to devotees like drinking water, Anna Prasadam, Medicare,garbage cleaning, Sanitation, information on display board in compartments, security etc.

INSPECTION BY TIRUMALA JEO

Earlier in the evening, the JEO inspected the serpentine queue lines in Narayanagiri Gardens, compartments in VQC and interacted with pilgrims about the amenities being provided to them by TTD. The pilgrims expressed their pleasure over the services.

The JEO also interacted with PWFS volunteers and milk distribution volunteers and expressed his satisfaction over their services.

VGO Sri Manohar, Health Officer Dr Sermista, EE I Sri Subramanyam, Special officer Annaprasadam Sri Venugopal, Catering officer Sri Sastry and others were also present.
