Tirupati, 11 Jun. 19: As a part of annual Brahmotsavams from June 13 to 21, the Agama ritual of Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was performed at Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple in Appalayagunta on Tuesday.
TTD Joint Executive Officer for Tirupati Sri B Lakshmi Kantham took part in this traditional cleansing fete of the temple.
The devotees were given darshan from 11.30 am after the completion of the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam where the temple was cleaned with herbs and an aromatic liquid mixture called "Parimalam".
TTD plans to conduct Ankurarpanam on June 12, Dwajarohanam on June 13. Other events are as follows; Simha vahanam June 15, Kalpavruksa vahanam and Kalyanotsavam June 16, Garuda vahanam June 17, Hanumanta vahanam June 18, Rathotsavam June 20, Chakra Snanam and Dwajavarohanam June 21.
The devotees could participate in the Kalyanotsavam with payment of ₹500 and beget one uttarium, one blouse, one laddu, one appam, Anna Prasadam and blessings.
The cultural wings of TTD, HDPP and Dasa Sahitya Project will render Bhakti sangeet, bhajans, kolatas etc. during Brahmotsavams.
