Make Arrangements for Appalayagunta Brahmotsavams in Grand Manner - TTD JEO






Applayagunta, 4 Jun. 19: TTD Joint Executive Officer for Tirupati Sri B Lakshmikantham has directed the officials to conduct the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple at Appalayagunta slated from June 13-21 in a grand manner.

Addressing a review meeting with senior officials at the temple premises on Tuesday, the JEO said the ritual of Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will be on June 11, Ankurarpanam on June 12, Dwajarohanam on June 13, Garuda seva June 17, Rathotsavam June 20, and Chakra Snanam on June 21. 

A majestic event of Srivari Kalyanotsavam will be performed on the evening of June 18 as a part of the annual Brahmotsavams for which elaborate arrangements were made to facilitate large number of devotees. 

Arrangements should also be made to bring the famous Lakshmi Haram in a grand procession from Srivari temple at Tirumala to Appalayagunta to be adorned to the Utsava idols on Garuda seva day. 

The JEO instructed the engineering officials to speed up repair works to vahanam, erect shamianas, pandals in the Temple premises, platforms for cultural activities and barricades within the stipulated time. 

The JEO said SVBC to give live telecast of all events of Brahmotsavams on daily basis and also broadcast all mythological films of Lord Venkateswara. Besides attractive flower and electrical decorations, he wanted adequate arrangements made for providing Medicare to devotees, provision of drinking water, distribution of buttermilk, milk and Anna Prasad am with the help of Srivari Sevakulu and effective security in coordination with local police.

He said adequate Srivari Sevakulu, scouts and guides are deployed to provide all services to devotees. He also asked the TTD officials to use public address and media to give wide publicity to Brahmotsavams in and around Tirupati, Tiruchanoor, and Appalayagunta etc. to attract devotees.

He directed the cultural wings of TTD, HDPP, Annamacharya Project, Dasa Sahitya Project and SV College of Music and Dance College to provide Bhakti sangeet and bhajans during Brahmotsavams.
