PM Offers Prayers in Tirumala Temple

Tirumala, 9 Jun. 19: The Honourable Prime Minister of India Sri Narendra Modi offered prayers in the famous Hill Shrine of Sri Venkateswara Swamy on Sunday evening.

He was accompanied by Honourable Governor of AP Sri ESL Narasimhan and Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy to the temple.

Earlier he given warm reception on his arrival at Mahadwaram of the temple by TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal and Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju. 

Later he had darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy inside the sanctum sanctorum. The chief priest explained to him about the mythological importance and manifestation of the presiding deity and significance of the ornaments adorned to the Lord. 

VISITS SUB-SHRINES

Later the PM has also visited all the sub shrines including Vakula Mata, Bhashyakarulavaru, Yoga Narasimhaswamy and also made offerings in the Hundi.

The Honourable Prime Minister was also informed about the average number of pilgrims visiting Tirumala temple every day, about laddus, hundi collection and other details by TTD EO and Tirumala JEO.

VEDASIRVACHANAM:

Later, the Head of the Nation was offered Vedasirvachanam by vedic pundits at Ranganayakula Mandapam. EO and JEO offered PM the sacred theertha prasadams and laminated photo of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

Among the VIPs who were present includes Union MoS for Home Sri Kishen Reddy, MP Sri Reddeppa, Deputy CM and Minister Sri Narayanaswamy, Minister Sri P Ramachandra Reddy, TUDA Chief Sri C Bhaskar Reddy, Local legislator Sri B Karunakar Reddy and others were also present.
