Tiruchanoor, 13 Jun. 19: On Thursday evening as part of the annual Teppotsavam of Sri Padmavathi ammavari temple, Tiruchanoor, Sri Krishna Swamy accompanied by Consorts Sri Rukmini and Sri Sathyabama went round the Padma Pushkarani three times on the colourfully decorated float.
As part of the float festival special abhisekam was performed to Goddess Padmavathi after daily rituals and the deity was grandly paraded on the mada streets in the evening.
Speaking on the occasion the TTD JEO B Lakshikantham said tomorrow, June 14 Sri Govindaraja Swamy would adorn the floats three rounds and on June 15 Goddess Padmavathi would Bless the devotees on June 16, 17 also by taking five and seven rounds on the colourful float in the Padma Pushkarani.
A snapana thirumanjanam will be performed of Goddess Padmavathi on last three days of the float festival. On June 16 evening the Goddess will bless the devotees on Gaja vahanam and Garuda vahanam on June 17 and devotees should participate in large numbers and beget her blessings, said the JEO.
Temple DyEO Smt Jhansi Rani, AVSO Sri Nandeeswar Rao, AEO Sri Subramanyam and other officials participated.
