You are the Future Torch Bearers of Our Sanatana Dharma - Vice President to Vedic Students










Tirumala, 4 Jun. 19: Describing the students of TTD's Veda Vignana Peetham as "Nava Yuva Rushi", Sri M Venkaiah Naidu, the Honourable Vice-President of India said, they are the future torchbearers of Hindu Sanantana Dharma.

During his visit Veda Vignana Peetham at Dharmagiri in Tirumala on Tuesday along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, the Vice-President was given a warm welcome by the faculty and students of this Veda Pathashala in a traditional way with Rig, Yajur, Sama, Adharvana Veda mantras.

Later addressing the vedic students, the Vice-Prez said that Vedas are not a religion or either man-made. Veda means wisdom and it originated from the words spelled by the Creator Himself. Vedas are the base for the emergence of the Scientific evolution in India. The vedic students should take up extensive research on the significance of various religious components narrated in Vedas in a scientific manner", he added. 

"When extensive research works are going on in Germany on Vedas, little is being done in its own motherland. The Vedic students should rise to the occasion and take up rigorous and in depth research on the various components explained in Vedas", he strongly opined.

Later he lauded TTD for taking forward the legacy of Vedic education as a part of its promotion of Hindu Sanatana Dharma and complimented the students of Vedic Pathashala for taking the traditional course.

Earlier Sri GAV Dikshitulu, Pancharathra Agama Pundit elaborated on the historical background of the Veda Pathashala which was set up in 1884. In-charge Principal Sri Seshadri Ghanapati, Vaikhanasa Agama Pundit Sri N Mohanarangacharyulu, students of all courses were also present.
