Peruveta Utsavam at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Vari Temple

Srinivasa Mangapuram, 9 Jul. 19: The unique annual event of Paruveta utsavam, heralding Lord's punishment of evil, was grandly celebrated at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Temple, at the pedestal Srivari Meetu of Srinivasa Mangapuram.

As part of the festival, the utsava idols of the Lord were taken in procession to Paruveta mandapam in the forests nearby where Asthanam and other annual traditional rituals were conducted and the idols brought back to temple in the evening.

The artist of the TTD cultural wing Annamacharya Project performed Bhakti sankeertans, bhajans, kolatas, etc. and Annaprasadam was distributed to devotees.

TTDs local temple DyEO Sri Dhananjayulu, AEO Sri Lakshmiah, TTDs Agama advisor Sri Sundara Varada Bhattacharya, Superintendent Sri Muni Changalrayulu, Sri Ramanaiah, Chief Priest Sri Balaji Rangacharyulu, temple inspector Sri Anil Kumar, Sri Yogananda Reddy and others participated.
