Tirumala, 8 Aug. 19: The mass religious programme, "Managudi" will be observed for a week from August 9 to 15 across the selected temples in AP and TS said, TTD Chairman Sri Y V Subba Reddy.
Speaking to media on this occasion he sa he said Temples are the platforms for religious propaganda aimed to infuse prosperity everywhere.
As a part of spreading Santana Hindu dharma, TTD has made elaborate arrangements for organizing the 19th Phase of Managudi programme in 11,500 temples across two Telugu states in the auspicious month of Sravana.
The chairman performed special pujas for the puja material of the Managudi along with Tirumala Special Officer Sri AV Dharma Reddy on Thursday at Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple in Tirumala.
Speaking to media on this occasion he sa he said Temples are the platforms for religious propaganda aimed to infuse prosperity everywhere.
The puja material like turmeric, vermilion, sweet candy etc. are placed at the holy feet of Lord Venkateswara and offered pujas and later on dispatched to all other temples across twin Telugu states in Tirupati.
He said on August 9th at all temples there will be a religious discourse on the significance of Sri Varalakshmi Vratam, From August 10-14 on Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagavatham while on August 15th on the importance of Sravana Pournami day.
He urged the bhajan mandal members of the respective regions to ensure successful and smooth conduction of he Managudi program all over the two states.
