Massive Plantation Aromatic Flower and Flower Plants to Enhance the Glory of Tirumala










Tirupati 16, September 19: TTD has heralded into a massive planting programme of aromatic and colourful flower plants in road junctions, ghat roads and foot walkers path to enhance the spiritual experience of devotees during ensuing Srivari Brahmotsavams beginning from September 30 - October 8 this year.

Under the directions of TTD Executive Officer Sri Anil Kumar Singhal and in the supervision of Tirumala Special Officer Sri AV Dharma Reddy, the Deputy Conservator of Forest for TTD, Sri Phani Kumar Naidu, has taken up a 80-lakh-plantation activity in Tirumala. As per the beautification agenda attractive landscaping of ghat roads and the Walkers path of Alipiri and Srivari Mettu has been taken up.

The TTD has rolled out initiatives to beautify main thoroughfares from GNC Tollgates to Balaji bus stand in Tirumala at a cost of 14 lakh, from CRO to Ram Bagicha at 13 lakhs and Employees canteen to Medara Mitta at 12 lakhs with Croton, Rose, Bamboo, Lillies, Pulmeria (Deva Ganneru), Nerium and Night Jasmine (parijatha) plants.

Similarly, TTD has taken sandalwood plantation on 10 hectares of land near Go Garbham dam to bring total of Sandal plantation to 90 hectares. 

ROCK MODELS ROCKS 

TTD has put up Rock moulds of endangered animal species found in Seshachala forests at a cost of 40 lakhs near Sila Toranam-the natural arch. A colourful garden of Roses, Allamanda and Ixora plants near Akash Ganga and green landscape on the road to Dharmagiri and Srivari Padalu at 6 lakhs funding.

IN TIRUPATI
Beautification of dividers from Ruia Hospital to Alipiri in Tirupati at 10 lakhs cost. On both ghat roads and the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu paths, TTD has launched both flower and aromatic plants including Hibiscus, Bougainvillea, etc.

Forest Range officers Sri Shiva Kumar and Sri Nagendra are supervising beautification and plantation works at Tirumala and Tirupati respectively.
