Steps to Stall Thefts in TTD Rest Houses - TTD SO

Tirumala, 3 Sep. 19: TTD special officer of Tirumala Sri AV Dharma Reddy directed officials on Tuesday to take effective measures to contain thefts in the TTD Rest houses.

Addressing TTD senior officials at the Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday evening he asked the TTD vigilance and police departments to coordinate efforts to curb the menace of theft cases in TTD Rest houses.

He urged the Tirumala Police to enhance the vigil and also TTD vigilance personnel in the Rest houses to keep a watch after a detailed discussion with the Tirumala DSP Sri Prabhakar on the issue.

He said the initiative to keep senior TTD officials to monitor the TTD Rest houses region wise had yielded good results and also enhanced services to devotees. 

In the same manner the campaign against plastics ban should also be taken up in a phased manner and hotel and shop owners be directed to take alternative steps in the place of plastic bottles. The SO also directed officials to spread awareness against plastic use among devotees, shopkeepers and hotel owners as well.

He asked officials to make elaborate arrangements for smooth conduction of Srivari annual Brahmotsavams from September 30- October 8. He wanted all departments to complete preparations by September 20 to provide a comfortable and exhilarating experience to devotees of Brahmotsavam vahana sevas.

TTD Chief Engineer Sri Ramachandra Reddy, Temple DyEO Sri Harindranath, Health Officer Sri RR Reddy, Annapradadam Special Officer Sri Venugopal, VGO Sri Manohar, Transport GM Sri Sesha Reddy and other officials participated.
