Mouth-Watering Naivedyams Offered to Goddess of Riches Every Day







Tiruchanoor, 28 Nov. 19: Sri Padmavathi Devi, Alarmel Mangai, Sarva Swatantra Veera Lakshmi-call Her by any name-the Goddess who sits on Riches is offered delicious Naivedyam thrice a day besides special Prasadams every day.

On the first bell at 6.30 am the deity is offered Sira, Pongal (Salt Pongal), Sweet Pongal (Jaggery Pongal), Pulihora (Tamarind Rice) and Daddojanam (Curd Rice). During the second bell at 8.30 hours (on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays at 9.30 hours) the Goddess is offered laddu, Vada, Pulihora, Curd bath, Sweet Pongal. During Kalyanotsavam the offerings are Appam, Sweet Pongal and Pulihora. Sundal is offered between 5pm and 6pm during unjal seva every evening.

At last bell and after 7 pm the offering of the day is Malahora (Pepper Ghee Rice), Pulihora, Curd bath and Sweet Pongal.

During Tiruppavada seva on Thursdays, 70 kilos of Pulihora, Jilebi, Munukutla, Dosa, Appam, Peanuts, Kadambam (Mixed Vegetable Rice) and Panakam are offered.

On Friday abishekam, Kadambam, Dosa, Pulihora, Sundal, Payasam are offered as Naivedyam and on other special days Ksheerannam (Milk Rice) is presented.

AMRITA KALASAM- AMMAVARI LADDU PRASASDAM

The Laddu Prasadam of Ammavaru is introduced in the year 2000 and is a popular takeaway by devotees akin to Tirumala Laddu Prasadam. This famous prasadam is known as "Amrita Kalasam''. The Dittam (Quantity of ingredients) used for making 100 Laddus are Basin Flour-4kg, Sugar-8kg, Ghee-3kg, Cardomom-90gm, 10gm dry ginger, and Pachha karpooram-6gm, Nutmeg-5gm.

The Dittam for making 59 Vadas includes Urad Dal-4 kg, Rice-2kg, Ghree-1.75 kg, Pepper-70gm, Jeera-70gm, Salt-250gm, Asafoetida-70gm, Greengram-1.14kg.
