Tiruchanoor, 26 Nov. 19: TTD has been organizing Soubagyam event in a grand manner during the ongoing Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor.
As a part of the event, nearly two lakh bangles, kumkum packets and books are being distributed to women devotees twice in a day between 9 am and 12noon and again from 3 pm till 5 pm during the nine-day Brahmotsavams.
Since 2012 the event was organised by the HDPP during Varalakshmi Vratam to highlight the significance of Sindhuram and turmeric to married women and youth in the modern society.
The books comprised of Govinda Namas, Astottaram, Suprabatham, Sri Padmavathi Namavali, Mahalakshmi Mantram etc.
TTDs HDPP chief Acharya Rajagopalan, AEO Sri Nageswar Rao, superintendent Sri Gurunatham, project officer Sri Hemantha Kumar are supervising the distribution work.
