Sabarimala sees great inflow of devotees

Monday and Sunday were the busiest days of the season at Sabarimala. The number of devotees who visited the temple on Sunday is more than 72,000. On Monday, an average of 70 people climbed the eighteen steps in a minute. The total number exceeds 800,000. The queue of devotees extended to the queue complex last day.

Special Officer R Aditya said the main responsibility of the police is to control the congestion. The police force has been vigilant to help those who are tired and help them to have a safe darshan.

Around 678 police personnel have been deployed in Sannidhanam alone to curb congestion. Apart from this, the central army also has been deployed. It also ensures the mob control with efficiency.
