HR Managers of Software Companies meeting with Hon’ble Governor at Raj Bhavan


In a meeting held today at Darbar hall with senior officials from IT companies in twin cities Hon’ble Governor and President, Indian Red Cross Society, (IRCS)                          Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan has appealed to all I.T and other corporate institutions to encourage their employees to enroll themselves as Red Cross members. 

The Governor asked the IT professionals to download the Red Cross Society “App” which was released recently by Hon’ble President of India at Rajbhavan during his southern sojourn recently.  Hon’ble President has also written a D.O. letter appreciating her efforts of membership drive for IRCS.  Red Cross Society’s “App” is user-friendly and requested the young IT professionals to utilize the services of Red Cross Society.

Red Cross Society has been synonymous with several voluntary services and pioneer in organizing blood banks, Nature cure centers, and Old age homes to serve the poor in the state.  The governor underlined the importance of blood banks and organizing blood donation camps to save the lives of many, she said.

Red Cross Society has been supplying blood regularly to all government hospitals, Military and Railway Hospitals in the state, she said.  She added, IRCS aims that “nobody in the state should die because of want of blood”.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Over one hundred IT officials who have attended the meeting appreciated the Governor’s call and assured that they would definitely take up the issue with all interested employees considering it as a Corporate Social Responsibility. 

Emphasizing the importance of Red Cross Society activities she said, in a special membership drive taken up in all over Telangana state from November 1st, over 30 lakh youth and students have enrolled themselves as members, Before the membership drive it was only 16 lakhs, she added.
