All Set for Maha Saraswathi Yagam

Tirupati, 19 Feb. 20: As a part of its commitment for the propagation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma, the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) wing of TTD is organising the Maha Saraswathi Yagam on February 20 

Nearly 10,000 students of 8th, 9th and 10th standards apart from inter, degree students studying in TTD educational institutions and others will participate in the holy event that will take place in the spacious grounds of SV High School in Tirupati on Thursday.

The objective of the Yagam is also to beget blessings of Goddess of Wisdom-Sri Saraswathi Devi to the students who are appearing for various annual examinations. 

TTD has set up six homa lots with 10 Ritwiks performing from 6:30am on Thursday at the Geeta Jayanti Grounds (of SV high school). The rituals include Anujna, Punyavaham, Saraswati Aradhana, and Kalasharadhana and conclude with Purnahuti and Prasadam distribution. The students will also be presented with Vidya Kankanams (holy threads to be tied on hand).

Acharya K Rajagopalan, Secretary of HDPP and Dr R Ramana Prasad, Devasthanams Education Officer is supervising the arrangements for the big fete.
