Tirupati, 18 Feb. 20: The Shoba Yatra of Srivari Lakshmi Kasula Haram from TTD administrative building to Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram was held in a big way on Tuesday evening.
The precious ornament will adorn the utsava idols during the Garuda Seva this evening on the occasion of ongoing annual Brahmotsavams. JEO Sri P Basant Kumar, Tirumala temple DyEO Sri Harindranath, DyEO Sri Elleppa, Peishkar Sri Lokanatham, Bokkasam In-charge Sri Gururaja, and OSD Sri P Seshadri also participated.
Speaking on the occasion the JEO said it was a customary tradition that Lakshmi Kasula Haram from Tirumala is brought to the local temples on the day of Garuda Seva. Apart from this, the ornaments from the Tirumala treasury will be presented to the local temples during annual brahmotsavams. This year ornaments worth ₹50 lakh weighing 983.750 gm were presented to Srinivasa Mangapuram temple. They included 529.750 gm gold Thirukkoram (Headband jewel) and two diamond Baavaalis (Ear jewels) weighing 454gm.
