Tirupati, 22 Feb. 20: The devotees were thrilled to witness the celestial wedding of Siva Parvati in the Yagashala of Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati on Saturday evening.
The deities decked tastefully were seated on the special platform and Kalyanam is performed amidst rhythmic chanting of mantras by the Archakas as per the tenets of Saivagama.
Devotees participated in huge numbers in this important fete which was performed on the ninth day of the ongoing annual brahmotsavams.
DyEO Sri Subramanyam, Superintendent Sri Bhupati Raju and others also participated.
