Tirupati, 12 Feb. 20: The unique ritual of Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam (cleansing the premises) was held at the TTD local temple, Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple on Wednesday morning ahead of annual Brahmotsavams from February 14-23.
Ankurarpanam for the nine-day festival will be held on February 13th evening.
The temple was closed in the morning after rituals and Abhisekam. The archakas and officials participated in the cleaning of the sanctum, dwajastambham sub-temples and surroundings with eco-friendly, herbals and detergents.
DyEO Sri Subramanyam, Superintendent Sri Bhupathi, inspectors Sri Reddy Sekhar and Srinivas Naik and others participated.
BRAHMOTSAVAMS PREPARATIONS AND SCHEDULE
TTD has made all arrangements for the grand conduction of the Brahmotsavams with barricades, drinking water outlets colourful rangolis, flower and electrical decorations for the celebrations.
