Somesh Kumar,IAS., Chief Secretary to Govt. held a Video Conference with District Collectors


Sri Somesh Kumar, IAS., Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana directed  the Districts Collectors to enforce strictly Lock down in the districts and to follow the instructions mentioned in G.O.s 45 & 46 with a true spirit to control Corona Virus in the State.
Chief Secretary held a Video Conference with district Collectors on the control of COVID – 19 in the State.  
Chief Secretary asked district collectors to implement the Government orders and to see that not more than one person shall be allowed to move on a two wheeler and not more than two persons shall be allowed on a four wheeler. Chief Secretary instructed the District Collectors no movement of any persons shall be permitted for any purpose other than accessing emergency medical care during the period from 7.00 PM every evening to 6.00 AM on the following day.
The District Collectors ensure available of essential commodities like milk, vegetables, groceries and medicines during the lock down period. Prices to be  monitored strictly. Allow the movement of essential commodities at the check post.
Chief Secretary informed that a Control Room with 2 Senior IAS Officers namely Sri Rahul Bojja,IAS., Sri Anil Kumar,IAS., established at Secretariat to guide time to time. Similar control rooms to be set up in the districts also.
Collectors asked to set up at least two quarantine centers with required facilities. The district collectors also ensure that the interdisciplinary teams shall visit the list of families who have returned from foreign travel and also on those who are home quarantined. He said community watch has to be encouraged as part of containment plan. Daily reports to be furnished to control room. An App has been developed to monitor the quarantine activities in the districts. Chief Secretary directed collectors to form area based teams to take up surveillance of  home quarantined.
Chief Secretary asked the Collectors to increase paddy procurement centers village wise maximum extent and also avoid mass gatherings. To see that farmers have to maintain social distance and proper care to be taken regarding sanitation.
