Tirupati, 26 May 20: The traditional temple cleansing fete, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was held at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati on Tuesday in connection with annual brahmotsavams which are set to commence with Dhwajarohanam on May 28.
The nine day festival will be observed from May 28 to June 5 with Ankurarpanam on May 27. In view of COVID 19 lockdown restrictions, the Vahana Sevas will be observed within the temple premises.
On Tuesday, the entire temple was cleansed with aromatic sacred Parimalam mixture which is applied to the roofs, walls of the temple and the puja utensils were also cleansed.
