Rajiv Gandhi Statue Junction including widening and Strengthening of existing at grade road at Mind Space Junction in Hyderabad under Engineering, Procurement and Constructions (EPC)- Turnkey (Package-IV)

Benefits of SRDP Package-IV Work :

With the completion of this1^st & 2^nd Level Flyover at Bio- Diversity Junction along with the already completed projects of SRDP Package-IV at Mind Space Junction, Ayyappa Society junction and Rajiv Gandhi Junction, a conflict free traffic flow has been facilitated from Bio-Diversity Junction (Old Mumbai Highway) to JNTU (National Highway - 65).

The Junction Wise details are as under:

a. Rajiv Gandhi Statue Junction

This junction has one bidirectional flyover, which starts from Majestic Shopping mall and ends before Malaysian township. The salient features of this flyover are as below:

·        Total Cost of Flyover               :         9793.07 Lakhs

·        Total Length of Flyover           :         1230 m

·        Length of Viaduct Span           :         780 m

·        Length of Obligatory Span       :         90 m

·        Length of Approaches              :         360 m

·        Total Width of Flyover            :         20.00 m

·        Vertical Clearance                    :         5.5m (min)

·        Carriageway details                   :         Three Lane Bidirectional

·        Total nos. of Abutment/Piers    :        29

·        Total No of PSC girders           :         182 ( 26Spans x 7 girders)

·        Total No of Composite girders :        14 (2 Spans x 7 girders)

·        Peak Hr. flow as of 2015         :         15899 PCU’s

·        Peak Hr. flow projected for 2035:      34836 PCU’s

The Flyover at Rajiv Gandhi Junction would ease traffic congestion by providing a conflict free movement at the junction and will provide relief to traffic moving from JNTU side to Hi-Tech City side & Vice - Versa.

b. Ayyappa Society Junction

This junction has one unidirectional underpass. The salient features of this underpass are as below:

·        Total Cost of Underpass           :         4430.38 Lakhs

·        Total length of underpass         :         450 m

·        Length of closed box                :         70 m

·        Length of Approaches              :         380 m

·        Total Width of Underpass        :         10 m

·        Minimum Vertical Clearance    :         5.50 m

·        Carriageway details                   :         Two Lane Unidirectional

·        Peak Hr. flow as of 2015         :         8656 PCU’s

·        Peak Hr. flow projected for 2035:      18965 PCU’s

This Underpass at Ayyapa Society Junction would ease traffic congestion by providing a conflict free movement at the junction and will provide relief to traffic moving from Kondapur side toAyyapa Society side.

c.   Mind Space Junction

This junction has one bidirectional flyover and one bidirectional underpass with service roads. The salient features of this junction are as below:

·        Peak Hr. flow as of 2015         :         14393 PCU’s

·        Peak Hr. flow projected for 2035:      31536 PCU’s

Flyover (Radison – Durgam Cheruvu Direction)

·        Total Cost of Flyover               :         8023.028 Lakhs

·        Total Length of Flyover           :         830 m

·        Length of Viaduct Span           :         420 m

·        Length of Obligatory Span       :         216  m

·        Length of Approaches              :         194 m

·        Total Width of Flyover            :         16.60 m

·        Carriageway details                   :         Two Lane Bidirectional

Underpass (Biodiversity Park – Cyber Tower Direction)

·        Total Cost of Underpass           :         5141.12 Lakhs

·        Total length of underpass         :         365 m

·        Length of closed box                :         83 m

·        Length of Approaches              :         282 m

·        Total Width of Underpass        :         28.80 m

·        Minimum Vertical Clearance    :         5.50 m

·        Carriageway details                   :         Three Lane Bidirectional

This junction has two unidirectional flyovers. The salient features of flyovers are as below:

·        Peak Hr. flow projected for 2035:      30678 PCU’s

First Level Flyover (From Gachibowli side to Mehidipatnam side)

·        Total Cost of Flyover               :         3026.12 Lakhs

·        Total Length of Flyover           :         690 m

·        Length of Viaduct Span           :         480 m

·        Length of Approaches              :         210 m

·        Total Width of Flyover            :         11.50 m

·        Carriageway details                   :         Three Lane Unidirectional

·        Length of Viaduct Span           :         570 m
