Srivari Laddu Prasadam at Half Price to Devotees - Addl EO

Tirumala, 23 May 2020: TTD is at set to sell laddus at half of its price at all its Kalyana Mandapams located in the Head Quarters of 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh from May 25 onwards, said TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri A V Dharma Reddy.

Flagging off lorries carrying laddu Prasadam from Tirumala to all districts on Saturday morning, he said that uncertainty prevailed on the resumption of Srivari darshan to devotees which was suspended for over 60 days following Coronavirus lockdown across the country.

In this backdrop, he said, TTD has been receiving mails, phone calls, WhatsApp Messages for at least supply of Srivari laddu Prasadam which is as sacred as darshan of the lord.

TTD board favourably decided to resume laddu Prasadam supply and also offered huge subsidy at 25/- per laddu instead of the regular price of 50 per laddu without loss- profit considerations.

He said two lorries each with Srivari laddus started for Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Krishna,
East and West Godavari districts and same would reach remaining destinations by Sunday. TTD will store 15,000-20,000 laddus at TTD Kalyana Mandapams in all district headquarters in the state.

All arrangements are made at the Kalyana Mandapams for distribution of Srivari laddus to devotees. TTD employees, Srivari sevakulu, HDPP staff, police and revenue officials are adequately deployed to observe social distancing and sanitise environment at the sale points of laddu sales.

Adding further he said, only small quantities of big Kalyanotsavam laddus were prepared only for use in daily rituals at Srivari temple.

Earlier the Additional EO also participated in the 44th day of the Yogavashistam - Dhanvantari Maha Mantra parayanam underway at the Nada Niranjanam in Tirumala organised by the Dharmagiri Veda vijnan peetham. He also performed Gow-puja on the occasion of Rohini Nakshtram.
