Case Booked for Baseless Campaign on TTD

Tirumala, 20 July 2020: Upon the complaint by Tirumala Temple Deputy EO Sri Harindranath, the Tirumala One Town Police have booked a case against a person on Monday who made a baseless comment that Srivari temple OSD Sri Pala Seshadri was affected with COVID-19 positive and getting treatment at Apollo hospital in Chennai.

A case has been registered against one Sri SV Badri who made a Twitter post.

TTD clarified that Sri Seshadri went to Apollo Hospital at Chennai once in two months for a regular medical check-up as he had kidney transplantation. 

Sri Seshadri initially had COVID test done to him at Tirumala on July 2 where the result came as negative and again on July 18-19 also he underwent COVID-19 testing twice and found COVID negative. 

TTD said it reserved its rights to file a case under Epidemic diseases Act as such devious campaign hurt and confuse the devotees coming for Srivari darshan.

The TTD officials also said that persons involving in such baseless and malafide campaign against TTD will have to face legal consequences.
