GHMC has taken up survey of street vendor to issued Identity
cards and facility to get loans sanction
through banks under PM SVANidhi Scheme
launched by Govt of India to boost up the livelihoods of street vendors those
who lost their business due to Covid-19 said the Commissioner GHMC Sri.
D.S.Lokesh Kumar here today. Further he
added, so far GHMC has identified 77939
vendors and ID cards issued to 58435 Nos. And loans issued to 9425 individuals
and it is under progress .
Each Street vendor will be sanctioned loan to the tune
of Rs. 10,000/-@ 7% interest which can
be repaid in 12 EMIs. The interest paid Over and above 7% rate of
interest will be reimbursed under this scheme and digital transactions are
being promoted to get additional financial benefit @ Rs.100 per Month which in turn
will reduce the EMI amount paid by the vendor.
Every Vendor shall have
(a)
Aadhar Card linked
with mobile and bank account
(b)
Street vendor ID card issued by GHMC
(c)
Voter ID card.
All the vendors are facilitated through street vending
Associations and their representatives for Survey, issue of Identity cards and sanction
of loans under PM SVANidhi Scheme. The street vendors carrying out business in
the limits of GHMC are once again informed to dial 040-21111111 for all kinds
of issues like issue of ID card and sanction of loans under PM SVANidhi and to
avail the benefits extended by the Govt of India to lead a dignified life.
