Governor pays rich tributes to Prof. Jaya Shankar on his birth anniversary

 

Hyderabad, Aug 06: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday paid rich tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof. K. Jaya Shankar on his  birth anniversary.

At a special function at the Raj Bhavan’s Darbar hall, here, the Governor offered floral tributes to the portrait of late Prof. Jaya Shankar and stated that but for the efforts and hard work of the great intellectual Prof Jaya Shankar,, the Telangana movement would not have intensified.

“I am proud to remember him and his services for the propagation of separate Telangana State ideology through his writings and speeches.His hard work helped in realising the Telangana State for which there was a 60-year-long struggle. I salute his hard work and contribution to the Telangana movement,” she added.

On the occasion, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan called upon the people to rededicate for the all-round development of Telangana, as envisaged by late Prof. Jaya Shankar.
