India will lead the world in the days to come: Governor


 Governor interacts with the eminent personalities with
telangana roots.
 Says it’s high time for younger generation to imbibe
patriotism
 Honour and value the sacrifices made by freedom fighters
and armed forces.
Hyderabad, Aug 15: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said on
Saturday that India is going to lead the world in many fields in near
future.
“India is endowed with majority of young people and they are the
future of the nation to ensure its development and prosperity,” she
said.
Governor was interacting with the eminent personalities from different
walks of life having Telangana roots through a video conference from
the Raj Bhavan on the occasion of the 74th Independence Day.
Exhorting the youngsters to honour, value and get inspired from the
sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and armed forces who won
freedom and securing our freedom respectively.
“It is high time that our younger generation imbibe the spirit of
patriotism and serve to make India proud through their achievements
in their chosen fields,” Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan added.
Stating that India is emerging as a force to reckon with at the
international arena, the Governor said that the Atma Nirbhar initiative

launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi would definitely
ensure India’s self-reliance in many fields.
She said that, through his enthusiastic Independence Day speech
today the Prime Minister has given confidence and hope to the entire
nation.
Referring to the Covid-19 situation, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan stated
that India is fighting the Covid-19 in a better manner under the
dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the support
of our Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and other chief ministers of
the different states.
She expressed confidence that India will soon produce the vaccine to
the Covid-19 and Hyderabad is supplying 40 per cent of the medicines
to the country. She also said that our Hyderabad would soon give the
country its first Covid-19 vaccine.
“Initially I was sad as I could not host the ‘At Home’ to ensure the
safety of the invitees, I am now extremely happy to interact with so
many eminent people like freedom fighters, brave military officers,
young sports persons, Covid-19 warriors and art and literary people
through this virtual conference. I will invite you all to the Raj Bhavan
once the conditions get better,” the Governor added.
The Governor felt emotional while interacting with Smt Santoshi, wife
of Galwan valley martyr Col. Santosh Babu and stated that the people
of the country and Telangana State were proud of the sacrifices made
by our Indian army personnel. She and entire Telangana people are
with them.
Eminent personalities like the country’s first astronaut Rakesh Sharma,
Yella Suchitra of Bharath Biotech, Partha Sarathi Reddy of Hetero
Drugs participated in webinar. Kargil war martyr Major Padmapani

Acharya’s wife Charulatha Padmpani, Galwan valley hero martyr Col.
Satosh Babu’s wife Santoshi, Col Narsinga Rao, Capt Sai Kumar, Major
Bharath Kumar and Brigadier Suresh Kumar were from military also
interacted with the Governor.
Freedom fighters Sardar Jamalapuram Keshava Rao’s son Dr Hara
Gopal, Unnam Venkaiah, and M Venkata Rao have interacted with the
Governor.
From the field of sports Badminton World champion P V Sindhu, Rifle
shooting star Srikanth, Richa Singh, TT player Snehit and Sai Praneeth,
Akula Sreeja and Skating Champion Kavya Shah have interacted with
the Governor
Covid-19 warriors Dr. Raja Rao of Gandhi Hospital, Dr. Parameshwar
Naik of Government Ayurvedic Hospital were part of the interaction.
From the field of art, culture and literature Oggu katha exponent Oggu
Ravi, Badarayana Vyas Samman awardees Dr. Triveni and Dr.
Laxmana Chakravarthi, Kuchipudi exponent Prof. Alekhya Punjala,
Kendra Sahitya Akademy award winner Penna Madhusudhana Sharma
were among those who interacted with the Governor as part of the
Video Conference with them.
