Bagh Savari Observed in Ekantam

Tirumala, 28 Sep. 20: The unique festival of Bagh Savari was observed in Ekantam by TTD on Monday evening. 

 

In this festival which takes place immediately after annual Brahmotsavams, the utsava deities are usually taken to Anantalwar Gardens in anti-clock wise direction and after the rituals, brought back to Srivari temple at Tirumala. 

 

But due to Covid restrictions, this fete was observed in Ekantam by making the deities seated in Ranganayakula Mandapam.  While Nalayira Divya Prabandham was performed in Anantalwar Gardens by the successors of Anantalwar, an ardent Sri Vaishnava devotee of Lord Venkateswara who pioneered Pushpa Kainkaryam on the directive of Sri Ramanujacharya.

 

Both the senior and junior pontiffs of Tirumala participated in this festival.
