Nakurarpanam Performed to Shdasdina Sudarakanda Deeksha at Dharmagiri






Tirumala, 28 Sep. 20: As the 16-day Shodasadina Sundarakanda Deeksha is commencing from September 29 onwards at Tirumala, the Ankurarpana for the event is performed at Veda Vignana Peetham Prayer Hall on Monday evening between 7pm and 8pm. 

 

It may be mentioned here that, TTD has mulled this yet another unique spiritual programme to ward off the ill effects of Corona and bring back prosperity in the lives of people across the globe invoking blessings of Lord Sri Rama from the abode of Lord of Kaliyuga, Sri Venkateswara Swamy by reciting 2821 Sundarakanda Shlokas in 68 Sargas by 16 experts Sundarakanda Upasakas for 16 days at Vasantha Mandapam. 

 

As part of Ankurarpana, Ganapathi Puja, Punyahavahanam, Kankanadharana and Ritvik Varanam were organised amidst chanting of Veda Mantras. Veda Viganana Peetham Principal Sri KSS Avadhani carried out the entire event and did Sankalpam with all at the beginning of the event. Later the Acharya - Brahma for the event Sri Goli Venkata Subrahmanya Sharma and Sri Senagala Vijaya Mohana Sharma respectively performed the ritual formalities.

 

From September 29 till October 16, a team of 16 Sundarakanda Upasakas will recite Sundarakanda Pathanam at Vasantha Mandapam while another team of 16 will perform Japa Homam at Dharmagiri during this period. Later the Sundarakanda Upasakas were presented with Ritwik Varana Pooja utensils.

 

TTD Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, Agama Advisor Sri Mohana Rangacharyulu, Temple DyEO Sri Harindranath, Health Officer Dr RR Reddy, Temple Peishkar Sri Jaganmohanachary were also present. 

 

The Shodasadina Sundarakanda Deeksha Parayanam will be live telecast every day in SVBC between 9am and 10am. Every day the number of slokas related to each Sarga of the Beejaksharam present in the Shloka "Raghavaha Vijayam Tadyat Mama Seetapatihi Prabhuhu". Depending on the number of shlokas there will be slight changes in timings of live telecast on a few days which will be informed prior to devotees through SVBC.
