Pavitrotsavam Concludes at Tiruchanoor

 

Tiruchanoor, 2 Sep. 20: The three day annual Pavithrotsavam concluded on Wednesday with Maha Purnahuti and Pavitra Visarjana rituals at Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple at Tiruchanoor in which TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal participated.

 

On the last day Shanti Homam, Kumbha Prokshana and Nivedana were also observed.

In the afternoon, traditional Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed for the utsava idols of Sri Padmavati Ammavaru and Sri Sudarshana Chaktrattalwar.

 

Thereafter, Chakrasnanam was performed to the utsava idol of Sri Sudarshana Chakrathalvar in a silver vessel (Gangalam) at Sri Krishna Mukha Mandapam in view of COVID-19 restrictions.

 

In the night, rituals including Raksha Bandhanam, Rutwick Sanmanam were held to herald the conclusion of the Pavitrotsavam fete.
