Tirumala, 27 Sep. 20: The Pedda Jiyar Mutt at Tirumala located in front of Srivari temple adjacent to Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple observed its 900th anniversary on Sunday.
Though the fete commenced during last week, the Tiru Nakshatrotsavam of Tiruvengada Ramanuja Jiyar was observed on Sunday.
Tiruvengada Ramanuja Jiyar was the first Pontiff of Pedda Jiyar mutt in Tirumala after it was established by Sri Sri Sri Ramanujacharya.
On this occasion, Nalayira Divya Prabandham recitation, Sattumora were being observed in Ramnujacharya Sannidhi located in the mutt from the past ten days.
Sri Pedda Jiyar Swamy, Sri Chinna Jiyar Swamy of Tirumala along with their disciples took part in this fete.
Meanwhile, there will be Padi Samarpana to Sri Pedda Jiyar Swamy from Srivari temple in connection with this occasion on Monday evening.
