Tirumala, 26 Oct. 20:On the occasion of Vijayadashami festival grand Ayudha puja was performed at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasadam Bhavan on Monday morning.
TTD Executive Officer, Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said the puja was performed with prayers to Sri Venkateshwara and Goddess Durga that serving of Anna Prasadam to devotees coming for Srivari darshan should continue without any hurdles,
The additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti were present in the program conducted at the MTV Anna Prasad Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion TTD EO said it was an age-old practice to perform Puja for all cooking tools, vessels and other weapons on Vijaya Dashami day
He said the objective was that everyone should win hurdles just as Goddess Durga succeeded over demon Mahishasura.
Earlier the EO also performed cooking material and cooking machines besides special prayers to Srivari portrait and cooking vessels
TTD Anna Prasadam DyEO Sri Nagaraj, other DyEOs Sri Balaji Sri Damodaram, Sri Selvam, VGO Sri Manohar, catering officer Sri Saibaba Reddy, AEO Sri Lokanatham and other staff, of Anna Prasadam section were present.
