Lord Rides Aswa Vahana in Kalki Avatar








Tirumala, 23 October 2020: On the penultimate day evening, Friday, of the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams Sri Malayappa Swami blessed devotees on Aswa Vahana in Kalki Avatar.

 

As part of the state and central government Covid-19 guidelines, the vahana Seva was observed in ekantham and the utsava idols were seated atop the richly decorated Aswa vahana at the Kalyana Mandapam inside Srivari temple.

 

The parade of Sri Malayappa on this Aswa vahana signalled the conclusion of eight-day vahana Seva of the nine-day Navaratri brahmotsavams. 

 

The Kalki avatar of Sri Venkateswara is a manifestation of his Good Samaritan role to fight the evil and protect the righteous elements in the Kaliyuga.

 

The Krishna Yajurveda described Malayappa as an ‘Ashwa Rupa ‘ as a message for every one to distance from Kali-dosha’s and perform ''Nama Japam'' to ward off the impact of negative forces in Kaliyuga.

 

Tirumala Pontiffs Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, Deputy Speaker Sri Kona Raghupathi, MP Sri Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, Board members Dr Nischitha, Sri Chippagiri Prasad, Sri Govind Hari, Sri DP Ananth, Smt Prasanthi Reddy, Sri Kupendra Reddy, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, Chief Engineer Sri Ramesh Reddy, Peishkar Sri Jaganmohan Charyulu and others were present.
