Tiruchanoor, 17 October 2020: The Navaratri festivities commenced at the Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple, Tiruchanoor on Saturday in which Ammavaru blessed devotees in different avatars during all 10 days of the colourful festival held in ekantham due to Covid-19 restrictions.
As part of the festivities the utsava idol of Sri Padmavati was given Snapana thirumanjanam at the Sri Krishna swami Mandapam. Later at night Unjal seva was also observed.
On October 26, Gaja vahana seva, a favourite vahana of Goddess Sri Padmavati will be performed in the temple.
As a result of Navaratri festivities the TTD has cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara seva on all ten days and the Lakshmi Puja on October 23.
