Shodashadina Sundarakaanda Parayanam Concludes with Purnahutihi







 

Tirumala, 14 Oct. 20: The unique spiritual program of Shodashadina Sundarakanda Parayanam was observed with objective of containing the pandemic Covid-19 which will be certainly achieved with the benign blessings of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, asserted TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy.

 

He participated in the Purnahuti event heralding conclusion of the

Shodashadina Sundarakanda Parayanams at the Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham.

 

Speaking on the occasion he said it was his holy privilege to participate in the Purnahuti ritual, his maiden religious event after his assuming charge as TTD EO.

 

He said in state government he served as Principal Secretary Health and Family welfare and strived to contain the pandemic with scientific and technical parameters. Now as TTD EO he will strive in spiritual means to end the global menace of Corona virus with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.

 

The EO lauded the efforts of Additional EO Sri A V Dharma Reddy in making the program a huge success and the donors who contributed for conceiving the unique spiritual program.

 

He also highly appreciated the team of Vedic pundits of Dharmagiri Veda Vijnan Peetham and it’s Principal Sri KSS Avadhani, Sundarakanda Upasakas, faculty members for their dedication in parayanams, Homams and Japa Yagnams.

 

Later the Additional EO Sri A V Dharma Reddy said 32 Sundarakanda Upasakas from other states besides those from Andhra Pradesh participated in the Vedic effort to get global relief from pandemic Corona. While the upasakas performed Shloka parayanams and homas with dedication, crores of devotees had followed the Diksha at their homes by watching the live telecast on SVBC.The sky rocketing TRP rating achieved by the channel in the recent times is a testimony to the fact, he added.

 

He said the liberal contributions by Smt Swarnalatha, the spouse of TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, TTD trust board members Sri Krishnamurthy Vaidyanathan and Sri Sekhar Reddy and other philanthropists from different states had made the 16 days Diksha a grand success.

 

Earlier, the principal of Veda Vignana Peetham Sri KSS Avadhani and his team performed Vasoddhara homam, Purnapaatra Visarjanam, Brahmasthapana and Narayana Suktam as part of the Purnahuti ritual at the Prarthana mandiram of the Vedic institution.

 

Earlier to that the shloka parayanam of sundarakanda was completed at the Vasantha Mandapam located to backside of Srivari temple.

 

Along with the Maha Mantra “ Raghavo- Vijayam- Dadyaanmama- SitaPathi - hi- Prabhuhu” in which the 16 syllables implied the 2821 slokas from all 68 Sargas of Sundarakanda were recited with utmost devotion. While on last day on Wednesday, the Shlokas from Yuddhakanda and Sri Rama Pattbhishekam were also recited.

 

The TTD EO along with Additional EO felicitated all 32 upasakas with shawls, Srivari Prasadam and honorariums. The TTD board member Sri Krishnamurthy Vaidyanathan also presented clothes to the upasakas. Later on representatives of the Sringeri Peetham also felicitated the TTD EO, Additional EO and the CVSO on the occasion.

        

CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, Vice-chancellor of National Sanskrit University Acharya Muralidhara Sharma, SVBC CEO Sri Suresh Kumar, Health Officer Dr R R Reddy, DyEOs Sri Harindranath, Sri Vijayasaradhi, Sri Balaji, OSD of SV Higher Vedic studies Institute Dr Akella Vibhishana Sharma and other officials participated.
