Sri Malayappa Rides Pushpaka Vimanam In Goverdhana Krishnudu Alankaram








Tirumala, 21 October 2020: In the evening of Day-6 of ongoing Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavam Lord Malayappa swami blessed devotees on Pushpaka Vimanam in Govardhana Krishnudu Alankaram.

 

The pushpaka Vikamanam is a fete observed in Srivari temple once in three-year mode on the occasion of the Adhika Masam Navaratri Brahmotsavams.

 

The Pushpaka vimanam vahana seva is conducted inside Srivari temple for Sri Malayappa swami and his consorts to take a breather after a busy schedule of events like Snapana’s and vahana sevas etc.

 

The 15x14 feet Vimanam weighing 750 kgs is made out of coconut leafs and decorated with 150 kgs of traditional flowers like jasmine, marigold, Kanaka, Abram, Lily, roses and scented leafs,

 

 The vimanam is decked with idols of Anjaneya and Garuda on both sides. The Idols of Asta Lakshmi are in the middle and in the second layer has elephants, parrots. Finally the hooded servants embellish the Vimanam.

 

Twenty workers from Salem I Tamilnadu and 10 workers from TTD garden department strive for 10 days to build the Pushpaka vimanam, said Sri Srinivasulu, Deputy Director of TTD garden department.

 

The Sri Ramaprasad Trust of Chennai donated material for making the vimanam.

 

TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, TTD board members Sri Chavireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Sri Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy Sri DP Ananth, Dr Nichitha, Sri Chippagiri Prasad, Sri Govind Hari, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti and others were present.
